Knife bags

Folding knives can of course also be carried on the body without the appropriate bag - but in a knife sheath they are additionally protected from moisture and dirt. This means that the one-handed knives can be attached to your belt loop - very similar to a conventional knife bag. The advantage of a knife chain is that even if, unlike a bag, it does not protect the knife from moisture and dirt, it does provide additional protection against theft and loss. Modern lanyards for knives usually have a flexible spiral cable. The cable is equipped with a snap hook and a large loop - this allows safe storage and quick access to the knife. It is particularly important that protective covers for one-handed or rescue knives are equipped with a tear-resistant belt loop. Many can be attached horizontally or vertically and are height-adjustable using a clip fastener. Most are suitable for knives up to 13 cm and can be closed with Velcro. However, it is also interesting to know that knife bags are not only suitable for storing rescue knives, but also for storing tools or flashlights. The same is true the other way round: magazine bags often function as ammunition bags and knife bags at the same time. There are also so-called multifunctional bags that combine the purposes of knife and magazine bags in one under a different name.
